Pileru is a census town in Chittoor district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Pileru mandal in Madanapalle revenue division It passes through a river and hence it got the name Pileru. In the local language, Pilla Eru literally translates to A small water stream.

Pileru is located on the junction point of National Highway 40 (India), halfway between Rayachoty and Chittoor and National Highway 71 (India), halfway between Tirupati and Madanapalle. Pileru railway station is situated on Dharmavarm - Pakala Branch line. Daily train services are available to Tirupati, Guntakal, and Hyderabad.
