As soon as I posted my feeding schedule for baby, I got so many emails from the viewers asking me how to make steamed dosa for babies. I just replied to them the procedure, since it was too easy to be posted here. But many of you wanted the recipe. So here I am sharing it with you.
1) This is so filling and nutritious meal for your babies.
2) You can start feeding this for babies above 6 months. For 6 month baby don't add pepper.
3) Always feed this meal breakfast and dinner.
4) When feeding, I add some warm water and mash the dosa well and feed. This prevents choking.
5) Adding ghee enhances the flavor and makes it more nutritious for your baby and helps in weight gaining in babies.
6) Make sure the ghee which you use is pure ones. I make my own ghee.
7) I sometimes add some salt and pepper over this and feed her.
How to sterilize baby feeding bowls:
Start by sterilizing the bowls and spoons which you are going to feed your baby. Take the bowl and spoon in a large saucepan, cover it with water and bring them to a boil. Boil it rapidly for 5 mins. Now you can turn the heat off and leave them to stay in the hot water till use.
How to make Steamed Dosa:
Ingredients:
Dosa Batter – a small ladle
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
Warm Water, Salt, and Pepper for serving
Method:
Heat a Tawa, once it is hot, spread dosa. Cover it with a lid and let it cook on a very low flame for a min.
Now remove it to a plate, spread ghee over it while it is still hot.
Feed your baby.
How to feed this:
For babies below 1 year, add some salt, pepper on top of this dosa. Add some warm water and make this into a paste and feed. this prevents choking in babies.
