Paratha is a great food for babies. Not for little ones, I started feeding paratha when maha was 15 months. I made soft paratha and chapatis, tore it into small pieces. Since it is so soft Kid loves it so much.

There are so many different parathas which you can make for your baby. To make colorful paratha, add some carrot juice or beetroot juice into the wheat flour instead of water. So it is more nutritious for your baby.

Preparation Time: 10 mins

Cooking Time: 20 to 25 mins for cooking potato / 1 to 2 mins per paratha

Makes : 3 to 4 small paratha

Ingredients:

For Dough:

Wheat Flour – 1/2 cup

Salt a pinch

Water as needed

For Filling:

Potato – 1 medium size boiled

Salt a pinch

Pepper optional

Ghee for frying paratha

Method:

Take dough ingredients in a bowl and make a soft dough. Cover and let it rest.

Mash potato with some salt and pepper. Divide it into two balls.

Take one ball, flatten it out, place a ball in the middle, cover it up, roll it into a thick paratha.

Put it in hot Tawa and cook on both sides till done. Apply ghee as needed.

Tear it into small pieces and feed your baby.
